At Clear Fork Veterinary Clinic, we believe great care starts with great people, and Dr. Emily Kingston is a perfect example. With a lifelong passion for animals and a heart for helping both pets and their owners, she brings dedication, compassion, and a little bit of humor to every case she sees.

A Lifelong Calling

Dr. Kingston knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from the age of four. Growing up surrounded by animals’ horses, dogs, cats, fish, and more her connection to them started early. That passion only grew stronger in middle school when she began volunteering at a veterinary clinic. From that moment on, she was hooked. As she progressed through veterinary school, she discovered that her calling went beyond caring for animals, it was also about helping people by improving the lives of their pets.

The Most Rewarding Moments

For Dr. Kingston, the most meaningful part of her job is seeing a patient recover. Watching a hospitalized animal go from a serious condition to finally turning the corner is something she never takes for granted. Being part of that recovery, treating them, caring for them, and seeing them improve—is one of the most rewarding feelings in veterinary medicine.

Meet Ollie

At home, Dr. Kingston has one very important companion, Ollie, her Welsh Corgi. She originally met Ollie while volunteering at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, where she was helping perform surgeries. It didn’t take long before Ollie found his way home with her. At 23 pounds, Ollie is full of personality, equal parts, sass and mischief, but very much loved.

A Day in the Clinic (and a Little Humor)

Veterinary medicine comes with its fair share of unexpected moments. One case that stands out involves surgically removing a rubber bouncy ball from a dog’s stomach. Naturally, the next morning once the patient was recovering well Dr. Kingston tested the ball…. It still bounced. Laugh

Helping Pet Owners Help Their Pets

Dr. Kingston encourages pet owners to come prepared for appointments. Something as simple as bringing a list of medications, preventatives, and diet details can make a big difference in providing efficient, accurate care. She also shares one practical piece of advice: Make sure everyone bringing the pet to the appointment understands the reason for the visit and the plan of care.
